The Parliamentary elections in India are round the corner. Everyday there is news of a film star or a famous personality joining a party. Suddenly, Muslims come into the picture as they are nothing but a vote bank. The people who destroyed Muslim homes a couple of years back, talk about communal harmony.

Excellent performances and pathetic pitches
I’ve been following the on-going Cricket series between India and Pakistan avidly. The matches have been fiercely competed and the crowds, from what I have read, seem very well-behaved. The only thing that I disliked was the quality of the pitches. I watch both forms of the game - tests and one-dayers, and I believe that bowlers should be provided a fair oppurtunity to perform. A quiet period
Things at work and otherwise have been pretty quiet lately, in contrast to the hectic schedule that prevailed a couple of months back. I find this uncomfortable because if work starts pouring in later, breaking the inertia would be difficult.
