A quiet period

Things at work and otherwise have been pretty quiet lately, in contrast to the hectic schedule that prevailed a couple of months back. I find this uncomfortable because if work starts pouring in later, breaking the inertia would be difficult.
On a totally different note, I had been to a nearby mall last week and was looking around, doing window shopping. I happened to glance at a few diamond earrings that were on display at JC Penney. Any little thought that I had of buying them vanished after seeing their price. A 1/4 carat earring costed $400! I was unable to fathom why. I agree that I am naive when it comes to jewellery but $400 is still too much money and I was looking at the cheapest of the lot!
