text 28 Oct Tendulkar - a class act (again)

I was watching the second one-day international between India and Sri Lanka today and was awestruck watching Tendulkar play today. I missed watching him in the first match, so was watching him after a long gap. He was in a belligerent mood today, destroying all the bowlers save Muralitharan who troubled him a bit. Together with Sehwag, he butchered the Sri Lankans and the total was 80 odd for no loss in 10 overs. Earlier in the day, Irfan Pathan and Ajit Agarkar bowled with great control over line and length. Pathan got 4 wickets and was the Man of the Match.

The Lankans have looked a depleted side in all the matches so far. I had earlier seen the Mumbai Cricket Association beat them in a last over victory by 3 wickets and thought that it was not unusual for touring teams to start badly. But Sri Lanka have been going from bad to worse and need to get their act together quickly to offer any challenge whatsoever to India.
