text 28 Oct Nungambakkam to Guindy in less than 15 minutes!

With traffic in the city becoming increasingly chaotic, I decided to try out the local train and was not disappointed. A few minutes walk to the station, bought the ticket and hopped on to a train. With the recently introduced Railway “Smart Card”, buying tickets is a breeze. The “Smart Card” is a prepaid card that one needs to use to buy a ticket from the vending machine. It is quick and queue-free.

The travel time between Nungambakkam and Guindy takes around 15 minutes. During peak hours, there is a bit of a crowd but nothing that one cannot adjust to. So, overall a pretty good experience and highly recommended to all those who are sick of being stuck in traffic.
